The unique alpine landscape is an impressive backdrop for every swimming session. Picture-perfect Lake Soier is in Pfaffenwinkel, just a short bike ride from Oberammergau. This small lake offers ideal relaxation not only for swimmers but also for fishers. It is also the perfect starting point for numerous hiking tours through the alpine foothills.
On the south side of the lake there is a swimming area with kiosk, large grassy sunbathing area and boat hire. Or enjoy learning about local flora and fauna along the 2.5 km nature trail that runs around the lake.

Natural climbing facilities around Oberammergau offer fun for beginners and pros alike. The rock here is rough and easy to grip. Most rock faces are fitted with bolts, but taking a few small nuts with you won’t hurt. The Ammergau Alps are a prime destination for alpine climbing alone.
